ELAN - Eyebrow and Eyelash Flexing Expert System «SUPERSONIC» Serum 1 CLEAR
Translucent solution— Serum 1 is the solution used for the FIRST part of the eyebrow and eyelash flexing procedure. The combination of two types of relaxants and two types of alkalizers in the composition of the product allows Serum 1 to quickly and effectively remodel disulfide bonds in the hairs. Due to this, the time of the flexing procedure is reduced.
During the procedure, the hairs are protected from dehydration and brittleness, which is facilitated by a care complex based on keratin and collagen.
Note: Serum 1 CLEAR (transparent) is recommended to use for eyebrows, Serum 1 pink — for eyelashes.
How Serum 1 works:
the combination of two different alkalizing agents (AMMONIUM HYDROXIDE and ETHANOLAMINE) allows the serum to open actively the cuticle scales, thus allowing easy penetration of the ingredients inside the hairs;
due to the mixture of two different relaxing agents (THIOGLYCOLIC ACID and CYSTEAMINE HCL), the serum influences on disulfide bonds, remodels them very quickly and efficiently;
the nourishing keratin- and collagen-based complex protects the protein structures of the eyebrow and eyelash hairs during the flexing procedure, prevents them from dehydration and fragility.
It also retains moisture inside the hairs;it thickens the hairs and provides them with elasticity.
The pH of the solution is 9,0-9,5.Important!

Use only in combination with Serum 2 and Multivitor!

Apply Serum 1 on the eyebrows or eyelashes.
Leave it to develop for 3-10 minutes depending on the eyebrow or eyelash hair condition (see the application instruction).
Then remove the excess of the solution with a cotton pad, moistened with water.
NOTE! It is necessary to do the allergy skin test before use: apply 2 drops of each solution on the small area of the inner elbow skin 48 hours before use. If there is no redness, inflammation or rash, begin the eyebrow or eyelash flexing procedure.
EYEBROW FLEXING PROCEDURE STAGES
1) Analyze the eyebrow hair condition of a client
Specify the processing time of the eyebrow flexing solutions according to the instructions following below:
1-st type: the eyebrow hairs are thick, spiky, not having undergone chemical procedures earlier (the eyebrow tinting or bleaching procedures) – processing time is 5–8 minutes for Serum 1 and no less than 6–8 minutes for Serum 2;
2-nd type: the eyebrow hairs are of the medium thickness, natural, healthy or having undergone chemical procedures earlier (eyebrow tinting or bleaching procedures) – processing time is 3–5 minutes for Serum 1 and 6–8 minutes for Serum 2;
The processing time of Multivitor is 5 minutes for all hair types.
NOTE! The maximum processing time of Serum 1 and Serum 2 is 15 minutes.
NOTE! The work of Serum 1 and Serum 2 depends directly on the room air temperature. The higher the temperature, the less the reaction time.
2) Prepare the eyebrows for the flexing procedure
- Use «ÉLAN professional line Cleansing detox-mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes with antibacterial effect» for the hair and skin cleansing before the eyebrow flexing procedure. Remove foam with a cotton pad, moistened with water.
3) Create the eyebrow shape (Serum 1)
NOTE! If a client has the thin and sensitive skin, it is necessary to apply a thin layer of the argan oil cream by ТМ ÉLAN professional line on the eyebrows and a thicker layer – on the skin around the eyebrows. It is recommended to use the professional make-up brush BLACKWOOD #4 by TM ÉLAN professional line.
- Apply Serum 1 on the eyebrows. It is recommended to use the professional make-up brush BLACKWOOD #3 by TM ÉLAN professional line.
NOTE! The maximum processing time should not exceed the processing time for the selected eyebrow hair type.
- When the processing time is finished, remove the excess of the solution with a cotton pad, moistened with water.
NOTE! It is important to take into consideration the eyebrow hair growth direction when creating the eyebrow shape. The eyebrow shape changes should be smooth in order to avoid folding of the hairs.
4) Fix the eyebrow hair direction (Serum 2)
NOTE! If a client has the thin and sensitive skin, it is necessary to apply a thin layer of the argan oil cream by ТМ ÉLAN professional line on the eyebrows and a thicker layer – on the skin around the eyebrows. It is recommended to use the professional make-up brush BLACKWOOD #4 by TM ÉLAN professional line.
- Apply and spread Serum 2 on the eyebrows setting the hairs in the right direction.
NOTE! The amount of the solution used at the IV-th stage of the eyebrow flexing procedure (Serum 2) should be equal to the amount of the solution used at the III-rd stage of creating the eyebrow shape (Serum 1).
NOTE! The processing time at the IV-th stage (Serum 2) should be equal to the processing time at the III-rd stage of creating the eyebrow shape (Serum 1), but no less than 6 minutes.
- When the processing time is finished, remove the excess of the solution with a cotton pad, moistened with water, if the eyebrow tinting procedure is planned.
- When the processing time is finished, remove the excess of the solution with a cotton pad, moistened with «ÉLAN professional line Cleansing detox-mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes with antibacterial effect» to stop the chemical reaction, if the eyebrow tinting procedure is not planned. Remove foam with a cotton pad, moistened with water.
5) Eyebrow hair care (Multivitor)
- Apply and spread Multivitor on the eyebrows. When the processing time is finished, remove the excess of the solution with a cotton pad, moistened with water, if the eyebrow tinting procedure is not planned.
- When the processing time is finished, remove the excess of the solution with a cotton pad, moistened with «ÉLAN professional line Cleansing detox-mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes with antibacterial effect» to stop the chemical reaction, if the eyebrow tinting procedure is planned. Remove foam with a cotton pad, moistened with water.
- Apply the tinting mixture on the eyebrows right after using «ÉLAN professional line Cleansing detox-mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes with antibacterial effect».
NOTE! It is necessary to take into consideration that the eyebrow hair colour is supposed to be brighter and appear faster on the hairs, when the tinting procedure is performed.
- Use «ÉLAN professional line COLOUR FIX: colour fixing fluid for eyebrows and eyelashes with keratin and sunflower seed oil» for the better results. Do this step, when the eyebrow tinting procedure is finished as well.
NOTE! The eyebrow shaping must be performed only when the eyebrow lamination procedure is finished. It is highly recommended to use the eyebrow tweezers in order to avoid serious skin damage.
EYELASH FLEXING PROCEDURE STAGES
1) Analyze the eyelash hair condition of a client
Specify the processing time of the eyelash flexing solutions according to the instructions following below:
1-st type: the eyelash hairs are thick or straight – processing time is 6–10 minutes for Serum 1 and no less than 6 minutes for Serum 2;
2-nd type: the eyelash hairs are of the medium thickness or thin – processing time is 3–6 minutes for Serum 1 and no less than 6 minutes for Serum 2;
The processing time of Multivitor is 5 minutes for all hair types.
NOTE! The maximum processing time of Serum 1 and Serum 2 is 15 minutes.

2) Prepare the eyelashes for the flexing procedure
- Use «ÉLAN professional line Cleansing detox-mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes with antibacterial effect» for the hair and skin cleansing before the eyelash flexing procedure. Remove foam with a cotton pad, moistened with water.
- Fix a silicone pad of the appropriate size on the upper eyelid.
- Spread and fix the eyelashes on the silicone pad using the fixing gel by TM ÉLAN professional line and an applicator.
3) Create the eyelash curl (Serum 1)
- Apply Serum 1 on the eyelash curl area. на зону формирования завитка ресниц. It is recommended to use the professional make-up brush BLACKWOOD #1 by TM ÉLAN professional line.
NOTE! The maximum processing time should not exceed the processing time for the selected eyelash hair type.
- When the processing time is finished, remove the excess of the solution with a dry make-up brush in the eyelash hair growth direction. It is recommended to use the professional make-up brush BLACKWOOD #2 by TM ÉLAN professional line.
4) Fix the eyelash hair direction (Serum 2)
- Apply a thick layer of Serum 2 on the entire eyelash area.
NOTE! The amount of the solution used at the IV-th stage of the eyelash flexing procedure (Serum 2) should be equal to the amount of the solution used at the III-rd stage of creating the eyelash curl (Serum 1).
NOTE! The processing time at the IV-th stage (Serum 2) should be equal to the processing time at the III-rd stage of creating the eyelash curl (Serum 1), but no less than 6 minutes.
- When the processing time is finished, remove the excess of the solution with a dry make-up brush in the eyelash hair growth direction. It is recommended to use the professional make-up brush BLACKWOOD #2 by TM ÉLAN professional line.
5) Eyelash hair care (Multivitor)
- Apply Multivitor on the entire eyelash area. When the processing time is finished, remove the excess of the solution and the fixing gel with a cotton pad, moistened with water.
NOTE! In order to achieve the most impressive effect and the visible result ELAN professional line brand technologists recommend performing the eyelash tinting procedure with the gel tint 01 black by TM ÉLAN professional line, when the flexing procedure is finished.
- Apply «ÉLAN professional line Cleansing detox-mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes with antibacterial effect» on the eyelashes to stop the chemical reaction. Remove foam with a cotton pad, moistened with water. Do this step, when the eyelash tinting procedure is finished as well.
- Use «ÉLAN professional line COLOUR FIX: colour fixing fluid for eyebrows and eyelashes with keratin and sunflower seed oil» for the better results.
EYEBROW AND EYELASH POST-PROCEDURE RECOMMENDATIONS
! It is not recommended to perform the henna eyebrow tinting and the eyebrow bleaching because the result can be highly unpredictable: the hair structure can be damaged (dry and dull hairs), which can cause hair fragility and loss.
! It is highly recommended to avoid saunas, solariums and any mechanical damage of the created eyebrow shape or eyelash curl (sleeping face down on the pillow), reduce the contact of the eyebrows and eyelashes with water as well as do not brush the eyebrows and eyelashes for 24 hours after the flexing procedure.
! It is highly recommended to avoid using the aggressive cosmetic products and undergoing the aggressive cosmetic procedures (scrubs, face peels, alcohol based lotions, laser treatments) for 48 hours after the eyebrow or eyelash flexing procedure.
